How is Superspace made?
Superspace panels are made with recycled post-consumer plastic bottles. Here's how:

Recycled plastic bottles are thoroughly cleaned.

The clean plastic bottles are shredded into pellets.

The pellets are then spun into fibers.

Is Superspace child safety certified?
Yes, Superspace has passed the official children's safety standards for the UK and USA (UKCA and CE) along with all other jurisdictions we've tested in.
Due to the magnets, we take child safety very seriously. Our patented secure magnet casing system means that even if the casing is removed from the panel the magnet will be very hard to remove.
However, the magnets would be dangerous if swallowed.
We encourage parents to check their Superspace often for loose or broken parts and take panels with broken parts away from children.
Will the Eco-felt break down over time?
No, the eco-felts panels are designed to be hard-wearing for long-term use. They will not crack or crumble.
What are the Superspace panels made from?
Superspace panels are made using a really neat material we call Eco Felt, which is produced from recycled plastic bottles!
In fact, there is the equivalent of 130 x 330ml bottles in every 24 panel Big Set.
This makes the panels hard wearing, durable and easy to wipe clean (we recommend simply using a damp cloth).
What are the sizes of each of the panels?
The thickest part of each panel is around 1/2" (1.2mm). Each side of the squares, squares with windows and triangles are 20" (50cm). The long sides of the Rectangles and the Trapezoid is 40" (100cm) and short side is 20" (50cm).
