Three Passionate Dads Revolutionizing Playtime
Hi there, we’re Craig, Charlie and Ant
- three Dads from New Zealand, long-time friends from College and creators of Superspace.
The idea for Superspace, as you would imagine, came from our own kids. The kids were continually boxing off areas in the living room and claiming them as their own territory. They were building spaces out of cushions, pillows, and cardboard boxes and our couches were continually being commandeered by them. Sound familiar?
We soon realized that kids of all ages need their own small space - a place to craft their own stories and independently build whatever their wild imaginations can dream up.
Superspace was born from our desire to provide an outlet for their boundless creativity. But we also found that Superspace provided a way for us Dads to play with our kids (screen free!) by teaming up to build ‘projects’. The large building format of Superspace really appeals to us Dads too - kids of all ages love to build big structures!
Our US and UK Kickstarter campaign in April 2021 was a huge success and raised over US $1 million. Since then we’ve expanded the Superspace set offerings and are working on more soon to be released imaginative play toys. Stay tuned!
